N’oatmeal

I love this recipe, it’s a great way to get in your fiber…. seriously, it’s all fiber.  And gods strike me down for blasphemy, but sometimes you just want hot cereal instead of bacon for breakfast.

  • 2 Tbsp ground flax meal
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes or powder
  • 1/2 cup of bowling water
  • dash of salt

Mix your meals/seeds in a bowl and add the boiling water.  Wait for about 5 minutes.  The chia produces a thick, mucus membrane that will thicken the mixture like cream of wheat.  ( I know.. we’re talking about food and I just said mucus.. just trust me)

Top with butter and cream, maybe even a bit of stevia.  I like to add a dash of cinnamon as well.
